Kendell Dempster began his training at Newark Community School of the Arts under the direction of Alfred Gallman’s Newark Dance Theater in Newark, New Jersey. This led to his acceptance into the Arts High School in Newark, New Jersey. Upon graduation he was named a Star Ledger Scholarship recipient in dance and attended Purchase College where he received a B.F.A. in dance. Dempster has also trained at American Ballet Theatre’s Summer Intensives. 

From 2008-2010 he was a performing member of the Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble in Denver, Colorado. From 2010-2012, Dempster was a member of the Lustig Dance Theater in New Brunswick, New Jersey as a principal dancer. He has designed and constructed costumes for the Kevin Wynn Collection, American Ballet Theatre’s Summer Intensives Program, Sidra Bell Dance New York, New Jersey Performing Arts Center Young Artists Program and Ronnie D. Carney Dance Collection. In 2010, he designed and created costumes for the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theaters second company Ailey II.

In 2012, Dempster focused his career to becoming a professional MUA. He got hired at MAC Cosmetics and quickly moved up to product specialist, Viva Glam representative and impacting team member. As a make up artist he also worked with Bianca Golden from America's Next Top Model, on her appearances and photo shoots. Dempster has extended his education into class to benefit his clients. In 2015 he worked on the cover of South Africa’s number one fashion magazine Supermodel SA.

Today Dempster works with Actress Miriam A. Hyman from the Blue Bloods series, and the movie The Sun Is Also A Star. He is currently a freelance makeup artist for BravoTV, and has also been featured on bravotv.com beauty blog and Page Six of the New York Enquirer. Dempster shows include The RealHousewives of Potomac, and Married to Medicine on BravoTV. His Clients are Karen Huger, Candice Dillard, Gisele Bryant, Ashely Darby, Dr.Jackie Walters, Dr. Simone Whitmore, Mariah Huq, and Dr. Contessa Metcalfe.
